Officer James Robinson # 206 – Advanced P.O.
Officer Robinson graduated from Kilgore High School in 1985. He attended Kilgore College and the College of San Mateo in California where he achieved law enforcement certificates at both. Additionally he gained his corrections officer certificate at Kilgore College. Officer Robinson was a member of the Navy from 1984 until 1992 and then the Army from 1992 until 2005. While in the Navy, one of his most prized achievements was earning his Special Operations Wings and then in the Army, for being a Military Police Officer. In his life since the military, Officer Robinson has been a Sergeant for the TDC where he became an instructor and trained other corrections officers in the dispersing of aerosol gases and was a part of the Prison Response Team. His first civilian police job was at the Rusk County S.O. where he started as a jailer in 2005 and then subsequently a patrol deputy. In 2007 he was hired at the White Oak Police Department as a patrol officer where he has been since. He has earned his Intermediate and Advanced Peace Officers Licenses since coming here. His no nonsense attitude and tenacious personality ensure that no criminal is going to get away with anything once they’re on his radar.
