White Oak offers a friendly, fun, and safe community with a nationally recognized school district for excellence. We offer two parks with amenities that include a splash pad and concession stand, remote control rock crawling park, dog park, pond, bike/walking trail, a 9-hole disc golf course, and pavilions with park benches and grills.

UTILITIES
The City of White Oak supplies its citizens with water, sewer, and sanitation service. There are a few areas of the City that sewer service is not available. In order to set up new service, there are multiple forms that must be filled out and returned accompanied with a $125 water meter deposit. When service is disconnected, the final bill will be deducted from the deposit with any amount remaining mailed to your new address; a bill with any amount owed will be mailed to your new address.

New customers may fill out these forms at City Hall, return the forms by fax (903) 297-3452 or by email to utilitiesdept@cityofwhiteoak.com. The water deposit may be paid for over the phone; although a small fee from GovPayNet will apply.
Before a resident can move into a residence or commercial building, the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy (aka Safety Permit) is required. There is a $30 fee for this permit. For more information, please visit the Building Permits & Inspections web page.

The main cable provider for White Oak is Suddenlink Communications. They offer phone, cable, and internet services.
The main phone provider for White Oak is AT&T. They also provide cable and internet services. However, there are other options available. Please visit the Public Utilities Commission for all phone companies available.

SCHOOL DISTRICTS
White Oak Independent School District covers the majority of White Oak; however, there are a few properties on the eastern-side of town that are in the Pine Tree Independent School District.
PETS
The City does not require pets to be registered however a household is only allowed to have six dogs or cats, or any combination there of. Please see the Animal Control page for more information.
VOTING
VOTING
Voter registration is handled through the Gregg County Elections Administrator. All county, state, and federal election information is available at greggcountyvotes.com. The Gregg County votes website will also have information on where early voting will occur as well as were to vote on Election Day. You must be registered to vote 30 days prior to any election, including the City's General Election, which is held annually in May.
TAXES
Sales tax and property tax information is available on the Finance web page. White Oak's sales tax rate is 8.25% and the current ad valorem property tax rate is $0.64241/100 assessed valuation.
